Since we're moving the forum over here, I thought I'd introduce myself! My name is Sarah, and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. After spending years of dreaming about Alaska, and settling for mushing my ten border collies through the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, I came here during the summer of 2008. Growing up with dogs, I got started in mushing after getting my first border collie puppy, and later on got a jump start when I kept her eight pups who quickly became my team, as well as my best friends. I have played around in many dog sports throughout the years in an attempt to keep both myself and my dogs busy. I started Dog'ged Juniors in 2006 as an attempt to spark discussions amongst other teens like myself, building friendships and learning from each other's stories. It is with this website that my dreams began to come true. I now live in a cabin about 3 miles off-campus with my husband, Keane. We have three dogs -- an "Alaskan" collie, a little husky, and a border collie/husky mix pup! I'm a member of the UAF Honors Program, working toward a degree in Journalism. | |

Thanks! We got married in November after being engaged for over a year... it's interesting to think back about how we met. We're also expecting a baby girl in February. :-) | |
