If it counts, my goal this year is to actually use the dogsled.  I like to set the bar low ;)  Seriouly, though, that thing has been collecting dust in the garage for way too long IMO.  I don't really have time to do any training this fall, but I'm hoping that over winter vacation I can find at least one nice trail within driving distance and go for some short runs.

No racing for us this year, since all of the races around here are either during the school year, or too far away.  And also we're completely unprepared to run a race at this point.  So basically, if at some point this winter I can get the dogs to move the sled forward for a considerable distance without getting tangled up, barking at other people or dogs on the trail, or running me into a tree, I will be happy :)  And I'll probably be running a team of 4 dogs, only 2 of which are actually trained, so I think that's a pretty lofty goal... haha.

haha Well any goal counts!! How many dogs do you have??

My goal for this year is to get a little more competetive( but not too much) in racing and to go into the 4-dog sport class instead of the 3-dog junior class but that will depend on how fast one of my dogs wants to run. She is getting up there in age and I don't know if she will be able to keep up with my youger dogs.

I have already reached one of my goals which was to get more dogs and I rescued 2 racing sled dogs from our local animal shelter.

My biggest goal for this season though is to spend time with my mushing friends, makes lots of new friends in the sport, and just to have lots of fun with my dogs and the snow!!!
