Started off 2011 great with Tia earning her first CDX leg in obedience!!! The score was atrocious, but hey, qualifying is qualifying! For those who haven't done obedience, Open is the second level and requires you to do things like retrieves and some jumps as well as heeling and stays. Tia has a tendency to lay down on the long sit stay, so I was thrilled to finally get that first leg! Now we just need 2 more for her title

At the Hamburg shows Queezle went Best Of Breed the first two days and got a Group 4! On the third day she just got Best of Opposite. Tia was varying degrees of bad in obedience all three days with moments of brilliance.

Yeah - totally forgot that you go there sometimes! Are you going to the Salt City Cluster in Syracuse? I will def be there running a Ridgeback in agility and showing a Viszla in breed, possibly showing Tia in obed and the Q in breed. I'll just be there on the weekend though.

Nope ): I cut my show time waaaaaay down thanks to college and the sort. College = Super Poor, but once I get out of the slump Remy & I will be back to the slopes in sports. I'm not really sure if I want to start her in Rally or hop straight into Agility this upcoming season. I need to get her hips checked out, first, though- to make sure she doesn't have something bad going on in that wiggly butt of her's.

Went to an agility trial this weekend, and Tia got her 3rd MXP leg (needs 7 more) yesterday and also qualified in Exc B Jumpers today! Her other runs and all of Queezle's were all very nice but just had one error too many.

We had an agility trial this past weekend. Tia was once again the star, qualifying in Exc B Jumpers all three days and in Exc B Standard on Saturday for her 3rd double Q! I was also running a Rhodesian Ridegback that I have been training for a friend. Flag was a little too slow the first day, but on Sunday he was AWESOME and had a clean run for his second Nov Jumpers leg! His owner is really excited, because he just needs to finish this title to earn the Versatility title from the Ridgeback club. Queezle wasn't entered because she was supposed to be whelping this week. Unfortunatly the breeding we did back in March didn't take. The other kicker is that the stud hasn't sired a litter since 2008 - he was bred to one other bitch this spring and that didn't take either. So it looks like I'm back to the drawing board again - what weird luck! Queezle turned 6 the beginning of March, so this will be our final attempt to get a second litter out of her.

It sounds like you've been having a blast. That's too bad Queezle didn't take again. Have you chosen the next stud you're going to breed her to?

Another agility trial this weekend - Tia qualified one day in Excellent Jumpers and Queezle qualified once in Open Standard. I'm hoping to switch back to a son of the first dog I tried. Riker was actually the whole reason that I looked into Poncho, and now is old enough to have his health clearances! I emailed his owner yesterday, so fingers crossed

At the obedience trial last weekend, Queezle got her first Open leg in obedience with 2nd place and a 191 1/2!!! The second day it was storming and she was very scared. Tia was in Grad Open and had meltdowns both days... more practice!
